It introduces the Viogner and Chardonnay varieties and has a new category: Gran Vino de Rueda
In order to open more to the national and international market, and to adapt to the new requirements of the National Accreditation Entity (ENAC), the Rueda Designation of Origin has achieved, after a process of several months, the approval of a series of modifications in its specifications (basic regulations of the Denomination of Origin) and in the labeling instructions. The new specifications establish a single counter label for calm white wines and introduce new varieties such as Viogner and Chardonnay. In addition, the designation of origin will have a new category: “Great Rueda Wine”.
